Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Incorporated, was founded on November 8th, 1998, in Jester Basement of The University of Texas at Austin by 27 visionary women. It became America’s first women’s South Asian Greek-lettered organization. The sorority exemplifies the following eight principles that each member cherishes and lives by: Character, Leadership, Scholarship, Sisterhood, Service, Culture, Womanhood, Self. 

Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc.'s philanthropy is cancer awareness.

During the Fall of 2012, Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority was offically recognized at New York Institute of Technology at Old Wesbury by four charters who wanted to create and be a part of something bigger during their time at NYIT.
